Take your nursing expertise to the next level in a dynamic medical-surgical environment. This travel contract offers the opportunity to deliver top-quality patient care within a busy surgical unit known for its collaborative atmosphere and focus on patient recovery.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Night shifts
  • 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts)
  • 13–16 week contract
  • Every other weekend required
  • Coverage for 3 holidays needed (combination of major/minor: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in med-surg nursing (RN-MS)
  • Prior travel nursing experience (required)
  • Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records
  • Active AL or multistate compact registered nurse license (no pending applications)
  • Flexibility regarding holidays and scheduling; blocked schedules cannot be accommodated

  • Able to adapt in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
  • Strong team player with clear, compassionate communication skills
  • Highly organized in documentation and patient care delivery

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner EMR
  • Deliver medication administration and support surgical patient recovery
  • Uphold compliance with nursing standards and unit policies
