Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing unit
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient care principles for adult and geriatric populations
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple patient assignments efficiently
• Current BLS certification; additional credentials a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to diverse patient populations within a Med Surg setting
• Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and update them as required
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient responses, and accurately document interventions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge instructions and ongoing care needs
• Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and best practices
• Participate in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• Provide a supportive and empathetic environment for patients and their loved ones
