Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Trussville, AL

Qualifications:

• Valid, unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med-Surg unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, recognizing changes and responding promptly
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate treatment
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in line with established protocols and safety standards
• Educate patients and their families about ongoing care, post-discharge instructions, and wellness strategies
• Participate in shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records while safeguarding confidentiality

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
