Within this esteemed medical facility, you’ll care for patients on a 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit specializing in both acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The unit also encompasses an 8-bed step-down area, providing exposure to higher acuity patients. Schedule:

• 36 or 48 hours per week, your choice

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• At least 2 years’ RN experience (18 months considered if with high-level licensure and 1 year in specialty)
• Willingness to float among units/hospitals as needed

Responsibilities:

• Care for a predominantly respiratory patient population at a 1:6 nurse ratio
• Deliver high-quality care for step-down (1:4 ratio) and medical/surgical patients
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds
• Adapt to working with varied patient needs and teams
