Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid and current RN license
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a medical-surgical (MS) setting
  • Proven oncology nursing experience—this qualification is required
  • Ability to comprehensively assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to handle challenging situations with professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients with a primary focus on oncology cases
  • Monitor patient progress, recognize changing conditions, and advocate for necessary interventions
  • Administer chemotherapy and oncology-specific treatments, monitoring for side effects and responses
  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care requirements
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare providers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate charting, medication administration records, and care documentation in compliance with policy and standards
