Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum one year recent experience in a medical-surgical setting
- Previous experience working with oncology patients is required
- Proficient in patient assessment, care planning, and medication management for oncology populations
- BLS certification (current)
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to evidence-based practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide, coordinate, and document direct patient care for oncology and med-surg populations
- Assess patient conditions, monitor for changes, and implement timely interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families in care planning and delivery
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy as assigned, with attention to safety
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and symptom management
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital standards
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and HIPAA guidelines
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing learning
