Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Vance, Alabama

A travel nursing opportunity is available for a registered nurse skilled in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, focused on pulmonary care. This position is located in Vance, AL, offering the chance to contribute to a 36-bed telemetry unit specializing in respiratory disorders. The unit maintains a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and emphasizes delivering high-quality, specialized care for patients with lung diseases or injuries. Collaborative partnerships with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy enhance patient outcomes in this dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing expert nursing care to patients with respiratory conditions in a telemetry setting
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Floating to other units and hospitals as needed
• Working holiday shifts as required and every other weekend

Preferred schedule options include either 36 or 48 hours per week, with holiday and weekend coverage.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in pulmonary or telemetry nursing; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest professional license may be considered
