Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Vance, Alabama

Working in the General Surgical Unit, you'll be immersed in a 32-bed environment dedicated to superior postoperative care. This role will allow you to broaden your nursing expertise, as you collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to diverse practices and leadership styles. Flexibility is valued, and you’ll have the ability to float to other units and hospitals, expanding your exposure and skill set.

Growth is embedded into every shift as you learn innovative techniques in pain management, patient mobility, and bedside procedures—all while helping to shape a healing environment for every patient.

Schedule/Hours:

• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Holiday shifts as required
• Every other weekend commitment

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in nursing
• Current Alabama RN or compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred (will consider as little as 18 months with at least 1 year in specialty)
• Ability to float to other units and facilities as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional care to general surgical patients in a 1:6 nurse-patient ratio
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure individualized, compassionate patient care during postoperative recovery
• Manage pain, mobility support, and perform bedside procedures
