As a registered nurse in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Respiratory unit, you'll work on a dynamic 42-bed unit, honing your skills in managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This role is perfect for expanding your knowledge base and professional network, as you'll collaborate closely with a diverse interdisciplinary team, provide care to varied patient populations, and adapt to different workplace practices through occasional floating to other units or nearby hospitals. Schedule/Hours:

• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Holidays as required
• Every other weekend

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing required
• Active AHA or Red Cross BLS certification
• RN license—valid in Alabama or compact state (no temp licenses)
• At least 18 months of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year recent specialty experience (2 years preferred)
• Willingness to float as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional care to respiratory and medical-surgical patients, including those with GI, endocrine, stroke, and surgical needs
• Manage a 1:6 patient ratio, with opportunities to work in an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit (1:4 ratio)
• Participate in daily team rounds alongside the entire interdisciplinary group
• Adapt to the clinical demands of multiple units
