Med-Surg Nurse (RN) in Warner Robins, GA

This Med-Surg/Telemetry RN opportunity offers the chance to work on a 23-bed unit providing care to patients post-surgery, those with acute or chronic illness, and individuals requiring advanced therapies such as cardiac and insulin drips, wound management, and trach care.

Schedule & Shifts:

• 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Every 6-week scheduling cycle
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 12 shifts
• Holiday shift rotation required (one shift per major holiday)
• No on-call requirements

Qualifications:

• Active RN license and BLS required; BCR competency (must pass EKG exam)
• 2+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• ACLS and national certification (Med-Surg or Nephrology nursing) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and IV skills
• Experience with Epic EMR, Pyxis, Alaris IV pumps, and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to float to adult Med-Surg/Telemetry units as needed
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based patient care and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage surgical recovery, chronic illness, and complex comorbidities
• Provide cardiac and telemetry monitoring/interpretation
• Implement care protocols, contribute to discharge/education planning, especially with renal and fluid management
• Support charge nurse and utilize central resources, 24/7 RT and hospitalist coverage
