RN Med Surg | West Hartford, Connecticut

Seeking a skilled registered nurse with experience in Med Surg and Telemetry to deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital setting. Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent experience in Medical Surgical (Med Surg) and Telemetry nursing
• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and electronic health records
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and implement treatment plans as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor cardiac and vital sign telemetry, quickly recognizing abnormalities
• Document all patient care activities promptly and accurately within the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations
