A registered nurse opportunity is available at a highly regarded medical center in West Lebanon, NH, specializing in the care of patients facing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. This travel nurse assignment offers an engaging 36-hour workweek with a day/night rotation, focusing primarily on complex medical cases rather than surgical care. Five immediate openings are available for May start dates.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care for a diverse medical population including those with sepsis, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis), diabetes, GI disorders, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, liver disease, substance misuse, respiratory illnesses (COPD, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis), and cardiovascular conditions.
  • Manage and monitor critical care devices such as chest tubes, various IV drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), central lines, tracheostomies, and laryngectomies.
  • Care for post-surgical patients requiring lines, tubes, and drains.
  • Provide telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient status.
  • Conduct care and maintenance of complex wounds and perform blood draws from central lines when needed.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current RN license with Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing skills.
  • Experience with chest tubes and advanced IV therapy management.
  • Skilled in telemetry and caring for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Proficient in handling central line care and blood sampling.
  • Comfortable managing tracheostomies, laryngectomies, and complex wound care.
