Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities efficiently
Schedule:
- Full-time hours; shifts may vary based on facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population on the medical-surgical unit
- Perform thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient responses to treatment
- Coordinate care alongside interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care
- Safeguard patient safety and uphold best practices for infection control and ethical care delivery
