Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) | Winston-Salem, North Carolina

This travel nursing opportunity places you within a prominent academic medical center featuring 885 beds, a Level 1 Trauma designation, and acclaimed specialty care units. As a Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience, you’ll expand your expertise by caring for patients with diverse general medicine and behavioral health diagnoses. Flexibility is key; rotate between General Medicine and Memory Care/Developmental Delay units, each with dedicated support and centralized telemetry monitoring. This hands-on assignment encourages skill growth with a focus on communication, rapid assessment, and advanced medical device proficiency.

Schedule/Hours:

• Travel assignment; specific shifts provided upon placement

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS (Resource Team) required for Unit A
• NIHSS and CPI (can be obtained onsite) required for Unit B
• Proficiency in telemetry, gtt management, wound care, chest tubes/traches, PIV starts, use of PCA pumps

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care across both general medicine and locked behavioral health units
• Manage diverse patient populations—DM, GI, respiratory/renal issues, dementia, memory care, and more
• Collaborate closely with physicians, CNAs, security, and support staff in a dynamic environment
• Ensure accuracy in documentation using Epic, and adeptly utilize Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell med dispensing systems
