Working as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on a busy Acute Neuro Unit for a 13-week assignment, you’ll gain invaluable exposure to a broad range of neuro and surgical cases. This environment offers a chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and witness diverse approaches in patient care and leadership, fostering fresh insights and skills you’ll carry with you throughout your career.
Schedule:
- 1900-0730 (7p-7:30a), rotating Monday through Sunday
- 13-week assignment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology, ENT surgery, general surgery, or acute illnesses
- Conduct assessments and provide both partial and total care for patients, including those ambulatory and bedridden
- Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergent situations
- Engage in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
- Educate patients and families on recovery and ongoing health needs
Qualifications:
- RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in an acute neuro or med-surg setting
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced unit and work collaboratively with a variety of specialties
