Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts (36 hours/week): 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Weekend rotation: 2 Fridays, 2 Mondays, and every other Saturday/Sunday during each 6-week scheduling period
- Holiday coverage as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current credentials in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a Level III or IV NICU environment required
- Strong neonatal critical care assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Comfort with floating to related pediatric units when the NICU census allows
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, expert care to neonates with various medical needs in a fast-paced NICU
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Support and educate families throughout the child’s NICU stay
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed, assisting in Pediatric CVICU, PICU, Gen Peds, and Neonatal PCU as a collaborative team member
- Ensure compliance with all applicable protocols, safety standards, and hospital policies
