Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Level II or Level III NICU
- Current certifications in BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Strong assessment, clinical, and decision-making skills specific to neonatal care
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate support to families
- Proficient in electronic charting and NICU protocols
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care for preterm and critically ill neonates
- Monitor, assess, and record patient vital signs, conditions, and responses to therapy
- Administer medications, IVs, and specialized treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and respiratory therapists
- Provide support and education for families regarding their newborn’s care plans and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety regulations and infection control policies
- Contribute to a supportive and efficient NICU environment through teamwork and professionalism
