Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Level II or Level III NICU
  • Current certifications in BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and decision-making skills specific to neonatal care
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate support to families
  • Proficient in electronic charting and NICU protocols

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care for preterm and critically ill neonates
  • Monitor, assess, and record patient vital signs, conditions, and responses to therapy
  • Administer medications, IVs, and specialized treatments according to physician orders
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and respiratory therapists
  • Provide support and education for families regarding their newborn’s care plans and progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety regulations and infection control policies
  • Contribute to a supportive and efficient NICU environment through teamwork and professionalism
