Deliver essential care to newborns as a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a specialized environment, working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and neonatal equipment
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill neonates, including those requiring ventilator or advanced life support
- Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and response to interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care
- Educate and support parents and families, keeping them informed and involved in their newborn’s care
- Follow established protocols, maintain up-to-date documentation, and ensure compliance with all safety and infection control guidelines
- Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and staff development activities
