Neonatal Intensive Care RN | Concord, North Carolina

Fantastic opportunity for experienced Pediatric ICU nurses to take on a 26-week contract in a leading medical center known for its comprehensive care and specialized pediatric services. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience; comfort in fast-paced environments essential
• Active RN license with BLS and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and essential critical care equipment (Artic Sun, Belmont Rapid Infuser, Camino device, etc.)
• Experience in managing invasive lines (ART lines/CVP), vasoactive drip titration, ventilator, trach, feeding tube management, and bedside procedures
• Ability and willingness to float to Pediatric CVICU and related units as needed
• Excellent clinical judgment with a patient-centered care approach

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to NICU patients with complex diagnoses including respiratory, trauma, DKA, neurosurgical cases, and transplant care
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, APPs, residents, and nursing support staff
• Monitor and manage critical care equipment and medications
• Participate in unit-based procedures and maintain detailed documentation using EPIC
• Support unit operational flow while adhering to best practices in infection control and patient safety

Schedule & Contract Type:

• Contract position with a 26-week commitment; potential 48-hour workweek guarantees may be discussed
• No call requirement; flexible floating opportunities to related pediatric units
• Schedule cycles every 6 weeks with manager-approved requests time off
