Exceptional opportunity for experienced advanced practice providers to deliver direct patient care in a dynamic Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting. Work collaboratively with an expert multidisciplinary team, functioning independently in managing critically ill and convalescing infants from admission to discharge.
Schedule:
- All shifts available: 12 or 24-hour variable shifts
- Shift assignment based on facility needs; individual shift preference is not available
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain within 3 months per state guidelines)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a related acute care or NICU setting
- Master’s degree required
- Clinical proficiency in neonatal and intensive care nursing required
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document a comprehensive health history and perform thorough physical assessments on neonates
- Provide healthcare services for critically ill and complex NICU patients, managing care from admission to discharge
- Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests; analyze clinical data to form differential diagnoses
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including prescribing pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and surgical interventions as needed
- Deliver essential neonatal services in delivery room and transport contexts
- Coordinate patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges; initiate referrals and consults when appropriate
- Maintain precise medical documentation in compliance with established guidelines
- Take on additional related responsibilities as assigned to support optimal NICU care delivery

- Competitive compensation within the range of $115,147 to $182,005, with a generous potential $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates (disbursed in three installments)
