In this vital role, you’ll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to premature and critically ill newborns, playing an essential role in their treatment and recovery.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Recent clinical experience in a Level II or Level III NICU
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of neonatal ventilators, IV pumps, and specialized monitoring equipment
  • Proficiency in neonatal medication administration, nutrition, and infection control protocols
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to neonatal patients according to established protocols and best practices
  • Monitor vital signs and manage life-support equipment
  • Document patient status, interventions, and responses in electronic health records
  • Partner with families, offering ongoing education and emotional support
  • Assist with neonatal stabilization and resuscitation procedures
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other allied staff to ensure comprehensive care
  • Follow safety and infection control standards to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff
