Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Recent clinical experience in a Level II or Level III NICU
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of neonatal ventilators, IV pumps, and specialized monitoring equipment
- Proficiency in neonatal medication administration, nutrition, and infection control protocols
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to neonatal patients according to established protocols and best practices
- Monitor vital signs and manage life-support equipment
- Document patient status, interventions, and responses in electronic health records
- Partner with families, offering ongoing education and emotional support
- Assist with neonatal stabilization and resuscitation procedures
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other allied staff to ensure comprehensive care
- Follow safety and infection control standards to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff
