Deliver compassionate care and make an impact for some of the most vulnerable patients in a dynamic neonatal intensive care environment. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to utilize your specialized nursing skills in the NICU while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for newborns.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36-hour workweeks
- Shift time: 0700-1900
- Weekend rotation: two Fridays and two Mondays, plus every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) within each 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as determined by staffing
- No on-call or call-back obligations for travelers
Qualifications:
- Valid, unencumbered RN license
- Recent experience working in a Level III-IV NICU
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Demonstrated skills in neonatal assessments, interventions, and family-centered care
- Ability to adapt to float assignments within Neonatal PCU, General Pediatrics, Pediatric CVICU, and PICU based on facility needs
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based patient care to critically ill neonates
- Monitor, assess, and document vital signs, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with neonatal physicians, respiratory therapists, and family members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Educate families and provide emotional support throughout the care journey
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Willingly float to related pediatric units as assigned, providing support and clinical expertise
