Seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care to provide exceptional care in a 24-bed unit at a renowned teaching hospital. This facility is a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, Chest Pain Center, and Certified Stroke Center, offering vital resources and interdisciplinary support for patients and staff. This opportunity is a 26-week contract, with possible consideration of a 48-hour per week guarantee.
Schedule/Hours:
- 26-week contract
- Schedule cycle every 6 weeks
- No on-call required for travelers
- Flexibility to float to Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, and General Pediatrics as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with BLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent, high-acuity Pediatric ICU experience; must be confident in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable with complex patient types including respiratory, trauma, neurosurgical, transplants, renal failure, and blood disorders
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino, CRRT, Belmont Rapid Infuser, and advanced critical care equipment
- Strong competence in critical care skills: vasoactive drip titration, invasive line management (ART lines/CVP), sterile technique, ventilators, feeding tubes, chest tubes, PCAs, sedation/analgesia, and discharge planning

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver critical nursing care to seriously ill neonatal patients
- Maintain patient safety through appropriate ratios varying by acuity
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team including physicians, RTs, CNAs, and pharmacists
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed
- Contribute to a culture of trust, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care
