This assignment is designed for skilled Registered Nurses with a background in Neonatal Intensive Care and experience in NICU leadership. You’ll strengthen your resume by gaining insight into diverse clinical protocols, collaborating with healthcare professionals from various backgrounds, and engaging with innovative, high-performance leadership approaches.
Schedule/Hours:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
Key Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent NICU experience
- Leadership experience in a NICU setting (Charge Nurse or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of neonatal critical care procedures
- Strong assessment, communication, and mentorship abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Function as the NICU Charge Nurse, coordinating daily unit operations
- Oversee and mentor nursing teams to ensure optimum patient outcomes
- Deliver specialized critical care to infants, collaborating closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Lead emergency interventions, manage admissions/discharges, and participate in family support
- Uphold safety and compliance with facility and state regulations
