Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license.
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical skills specific to neonatal care.
  • Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill or premature infants.
  • Monitor, document, and report changes in the health status of neonates.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians to execute and adjust care plans.
  • Administer medications, manage ventilators, and operate specialized equipment.
  • Provide emotional support and education to families, facilitating involvement in the care process.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold infection control standards.
