Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice.
  • Recent clinical experience in a Level II/III NICU setting is required.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and implement care for neonates with various health needs.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Critical-thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining best practices and following all facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to newborns requiring intensive support, including medication administration and monitoring of vital signs.
  • Coordinate care plans with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support families with education, updates, and emotional reassurance.
  • Accurately document patient observations, interventions, and progress in electronic health records.
  • Assist during procedures and emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NICU policies, infection control, and specialized equipment.
