This role calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the NICU, committed to delivering high-quality care to infants and supporting families during critical moments.
Schedule & Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week (0700-1900)
- Weekend rotation includes 2 Fridays and 2 Mondays, plus every other Saturday and Sunday, within each 6-week schedule
- Holiday shifts required as scheduled
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN license with proven NICU experience
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency with neonatal patients, including assessment, intervention, and emergency response
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and providing family-centered care
- Flexibility and a positive attitude toward floating to similar pediatric units, including Pediatric CVICU, PICU, and General Pediatric Units, to offer assistance where needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to infants in the NICU
- Monitor patient status, administer prescribed treatments, and document interventions accurately
- Support families through education, updates, and emotional reassurance
- Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient outcomes
- Adapt to unit needs, floating to other pediatrics specialties when required (no call or call-back expectations for travelers)
