Registered Nurse - NICU in Mckinney, TX

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency with NICU-specific medical equipment, monitors, and documentation systems
• Strong communication skills to support families and collaborate with healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to ill and premature newborns, following established protocols and individualized care plans
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and perform neonatal resuscitation as needed
• Closely monitor vital signs and document patient progress and response to interventions
• Communicate effectively with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality care
• Educate and support parents and guardians, offering guidance during an emotionally difficult time
• Help coordinate and participate in family-centered rounds and patient care conferences
• Maintain an organized, safe, and sanitary work environment in compliance with regulatory and infection control standards
