Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in a Level III or IV NICU setting
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other nursing professionals
  • Compassionate approach with families and a calming, confident presence

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to ill or premature newborns, including ongoing assessment, monitoring, and treatment
  • Administer medications and assist with procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Educate and support parents and family members during their NICU experience
  • Accurately document all care provided and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
  • Participate in unit-based safety and quality improvement activities
