Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Neonatal Intensive Care (RN-NICU) for a contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and specialized care to critically ill newborns, collaborating closely with neonatologists, medical teams, and families to deliver optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to infants in the NICU, ensuring ongoing assessment and detailed documentation.
- Operate and monitor life-support equipment and administer medications as prescribed.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and specialized procedures as required by patient condition.
- Communicate effectively with families, offering support and education about neonatal health, care plans, and outcomes.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Ensure adherence to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license.
- Proven experience in a Level II or III NICU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Critical thinking and flexibility to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
