Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Level II or III NICU required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional approach to high-acuity situations
  • Proficient with electronic health records and charting systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to preterm and critically ill newborns, closely monitoring vital signs and administering medications or interventions as ordered
  • Employ advanced assessment skills to quickly identify changes in infant condition and act accordingly
  • Partner with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and evidence-based approach to neonatal care
  • Educate and support families through challenging NICU journeys, providing regular updates and emotional support
  • Uphold stringent infection control and safety protocols throughout all procedures
  • Document all patient interactions, care measures, and changes in status accurately and promptly
  • Participate in ongoing unit education to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained
