Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum one year of recent experience working in a NICU setting
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • Strong assessment, observation, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Empathy, patience, and respect for the unique needs of neonatal patients and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergent situations
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate and support families, providing updates and guidance throughout their NICU journey
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies
  • Ensure all care meets established safety and quality standards
  • Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development
