A skilled Registered Nurse with NICU experience is sought to support a respected healthcare team for a contract role. Key Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license
  • At least one year of recent NICU nursing experience
  • BLS and NRP certifications are required
  • Strong clinical assessment abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage complex neonatal cases in a fast-paced setting
  • Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to premature and critically ill newborns
  • Perform physical assessments, monitor vital signs, and promptly respond to changes in patient status
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized neonatal interventions as prescribed
  • Educate and support families regarding newborn care, treatment plans, and discharge preparation
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Foster a nurturing and safe environment for neonates receiving intensive care
