Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum one year of recent experience working in a NICU setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Strong assessment, observation, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Empathy, patience, and respect for the unique needs of neonatal patients and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergent situations
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate and support families, providing updates and guidance throughout their NICU journey
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policies
- Ensure all care meets established safety and quality standards
- Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development
