Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a 24-bed Pediatric ICU, managing patients with varied diagnoses such as respiratory distress, trauma, seizures, renal failure, transplant care, and complex blood disorders.
- Administer and monitor critical care treatments including vasoactive drip titration, invasive line management, ventilator and tracheostomy support, CRRT, and bedside procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including intensivists, APPs, residents, respiratory therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize EPIC EMR and advanced medical equipment efficiently, including Belmont Rapid Infuser, Arterial and Central Venous Pressure lines, and Medfusion pump systems.
- Provide flexible coverage and float across Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, and general pediatrics as team needs dictate.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- RN licensure with Pediatric ICU and NICU experience; minimum 2 years in a high acuity Pediatric ICU environment.
- Current BLS and PALS certification required.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and critical care technologies.
- Strong clinical judgment in managing complex pediatric critical care patients.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing clinical environment.
Additional Details:
- Contract duration is 26 weeks with possible 48-hour per week guaranteed hours.
- No call requirements for travelers; rotational schedules every six weeks with manager-approved return to office.
