Embark on an impactful nursing assignment caring for newborns in a dynamic Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside expert clinicians in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to delivering high-quality, specialized care for neonates and their families.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum one year of recent NICU nursing experience
  • Proficiency in neonatal assessments, medication administration, ventilator management, and advanced congenital care protocols
  • BLS and NRP certifications required; additional pediatric/neonatal credentials a plus
  • Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergent situations and consistently follow infection control procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and partnering with the interdisciplinary team
  • Communicate proactively with families, providing education, resources, and emotional support
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes meticulously and accurately
  • Adhere to safety standards, participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, and support best practices in neonatal nursing
  • Respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions and contribute to developing individualized care plans
