Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum one year of recent NICU nursing experience
- Proficiency in neonatal assessments, medication administration, ventilator management, and advanced congenital care protocols
- BLS and NRP certifications required; additional pediatric/neonatal credentials a plus
- Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills
- Ability to respond quickly in emergent situations and consistently follow infection control procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and partnering with the interdisciplinary team
- Communicate proactively with families, providing education, resources, and emotional support
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes meticulously and accurately
- Adhere to safety standards, participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, and support best practices in neonatal nursing
