Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Valid RN license with current credentials
- Proven NICU experience, demonstrating strong assessment and clinical skills
- Knowledge of neonatal care standards, equipment use, and best practices
- Ability to think critically and respond calmly in emergent situations
- Strong communication abilities for working with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to newborns requiring intensive support, including assessment, medication administration, and ongoing monitoring
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and allied professionals to execute individualized treatment plans
- Provide education and comfort to family members, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their infant’s care journey
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in accordance with facility protocols
- Assist with admission, stabilization, and discharge processes for neonatal patients
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and privacy standards at all times
