Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum one year of recent NICU experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Adept at monitoring and caring for high-risk newborns
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Highly organized with solid documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in accordance with established protocols
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor the progress of newborn patients
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and implement care plans tailored to each infant’s needs
• Provide emotional support and education to families during what can be a challenging period
• Maintain meticulous records and ensure all care complies with the latest NICU standards and best practices
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the unit
