Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Acton, California

Experienced Operating Room RNs are needed for an immediate 13-week contract supporting a busy surgical team. This role requires proven expertise in orthopedic, trauma, and robotics cases within a Level I or II trauma environment. Travel nursing professionals seeking a dynamic assignment and who are comfortable taking call will find a rewarding challenge in this position.

Schedule options include:

• 3x12 hour fixed shifts:
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), or
  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• On-call duties are required, including possible nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• Valid and current California RN license
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Minimum two years’ recent RN experience in Operating Room settings (including Level I or II trauma)
• At least one year prior travel nurse experience
• Solid background in orthopedic, trauma, and robotics procedures
• Skills checklist completed at submission

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams before, during, and after complex operations, including ortho/trauma/robot-assisted procedures
• Implement established surgical safety and infection control protocols
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient documentation
• Respond promptly to emergencies as part of the OR team, including on-call shifts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care professionals to provide high-quality patient care
