An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with strong Operating Room backgrounds. In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to surgical patients, utilizing your expertise in the perioperative nursing process and advanced surgical procedures.

Schedule:

  • Shifts from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm
  • Required on-call: 1 night per week (9:00 pm - 7:00 am)
  • Every sixth weekend on-call (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with Operating Room experience required
  • At least 2 years of recent Level 2 (or higher) Trauma OR circulating experience
  • Proficiency in Robotics, Ortho Trauma, and Neuro surgeries
  • Strong understanding of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
  • Excellent communication skills for patient, family, and health care team interactions
  • Heart surgery experience is not required

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver evidence-based perioperative nursing care to a diverse surgical population
  • Delegate, supervise, and document care for patients and families in the operative setting
  • Lead and collaborate in planning and evaluating patient goals, interventions, and teaching
  • Effectively communicate patient information and care plans to the multidisciplinary surgical team
  • Actively participate in problem-solving for any variances from expected patient outcomes, ensuring prompt solution implementation
