Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with eligibility to practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Operating Room nursing required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Thorough understanding of surgical procedures, patient safety, and sterile techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with EMR systems is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Variable shifts based on surgical caseload and facility needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the OR, ensuring proper equipment, instruments, and supplies for various surgical procedures.
  • Circulate and/or scrub for a wide range of surgeries, adhering to best practices and infection control protocols.
  • Support patient safety, positioning, and advocacy throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nurses for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Document all care and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergent situations during procedures.
