Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Antioch, Tennessee

Advance your surgical nursing career in a dynamic, high-volume Operating Room setting at a leading 1000+ bed hospital. This 26-week contract role offers the chance to serve a diverse adult patient population and participate in a wide array of surgical procedures—excluding cardiac, transplant, and complex trauma/neuro cases. Engage with cutting-edge technology in a facility that boasts 56 inpatient/outpatient ORs and 5 procedural suites, supporting all service lines from general and ortho to robotics and hybrid interventions.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Days vary weekly according to unit need (no block schedules)
• Late stay coverage required
• Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays during the contract
• Limited time off permitted due to unit coverage requirements
• Orientation dates available: 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/26

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (must be on file at time of submission)
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficient in circulating role; scrub experience not required
• Experience in high-acuity/Level 1 trauma environments preferred
• Comfortable floating within hospital ORs as needed (no floating to other locations)
• Strong adaptability and stamina for late stays (typically up to an hour past shift when needed)
• BLS certification (additional OR-related certs a plus)
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate all adult surgery case types except cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced OR float pool
• Maintain a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes
• Adapt to fluctuating case volume and acuity, staying late as required for seamless coverage

$1,941 - $2,123/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
