A dynamic opportunity is available for an experienced operating room nurse to provide patient care in a technologically advanced, high-volume surgical suite. This contract role requires skilled nursing professionals familiar with a wide array of procedures—including total joints, spine, transplant (kidney/liver), robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics—supporting surgical teams in a busy and innovative hospital environment.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Includes night and weekend call shifts

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Demonstrated competency in transplant procedures
  • At least 3 years of recent operating room experience (preferred)
  • Certification in perioperative nursing (preferred)
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Meditech
  • Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and scrub in a 16-suite Main Operating Room providing perioperative care
  • Prepare and maintain surgical areas, adhering to strict aseptic technique and regulatory protocols
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document patient information, procedures, and events using Meditech EMR
  • Adapt quickly to new equipment and evolving technology
  • Effectively manage emergent situations and participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 departmental coverage

$1,936 - $2,048/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
