Advance your career as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with an engaging role in the operating room. This opportunity focuses on providing high-quality perioperative and intraoperative care alongside a skilled surgical team.
Schedule/Hours:
- 10-hour mid shifts: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
- On-call required: Weekday shifts may extend until 11:00 pm at least once per week
- Weekend call: At least one continuous weekend (Friday 6:30 am through Monday 6:30 am) per 6-week period
- 18-week contract assignment, starting August 3, 2026
Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher
- RNFA certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of recent experience assisting in the operating room
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Detail-oriented with strong technical, assessment, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure a safe, effective surgical environment
- Provide direct, hands-on assistance during operative and invasive procedures
- Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Follow all infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards
- Support patient and family education regarding operative care and recovery
