Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Atlanta, Georgia

Deliver critical care and expertise as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to support surgical teams and ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their perioperative experience.

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in an operating room setting
• Strong understanding of sterile technique, patient safety, and OR protocols
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is sterile and ready for the procedure
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow OR staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patient vital signs and coordinate care during surgeries
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all perioperative activities
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards at all times
• Support patients and families by addressing questions and providing updates as needed
