OR Nurse (RN) - Atlanta, Georgia

This contract opportunity requires a Registered Nurse with proven skills in perioperative nursing. Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Operating Room experience (perioperative, circulating, and/or scrub)
• BLS certification (additional advanced certifications preferred)
• Thorough understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures
• Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism

Schedule:

• Variable shifts; may include days, evenings, or weekends based on facility needs

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning
• Conduct thorough patient assessments before and after surgical procedures
• Act as a circulating or scrub nurse during operative cases, anticipating surgeon and team needs
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile field and infection control protocols
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and intervene promptly as needed
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care throughout procedures
• Provide support and education to patients and families in the perioperative period
