Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of one year’s recent experience in an operating room setting
  • Proven skills in perioperative nursing, including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and work well within a surgical team

Schedule/Hours:

  • Assignment is contract-based; specific shift details will be discussed during interview

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms, sterile instruments, and surgical equipment before procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient care
  • Assist with patient positioning and monitoring throughout surgical procedures
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures, supplies, and patient responses
  • Adhere strictly to infection control standards and hospital protocols
  • Provide support throughout the entire perioperative process, from patient prep to recovery room handoff
