Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible shifts available to accommodate various preferences

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an operating room setting
  • Proficiency with standard OR procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning before procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical team to provide safe and effective patient care throughout the perioperative phase
  • Assist anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams during procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery, reporting any changes to the appropriate medical staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient responses
  • Educate patients and families regarding the surgical process and post-operative care, as needed
