Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Recent experience in an Operating Room setting required
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon and patient needs during procedures
  • Proficient in electronic health records and charting
  • BLS and ACLS certification (current)
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgery in the Operating Room
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure a safe and efficient operative experience
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor sterile environment standards
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status throughout operative phases
  • Administer medications, including anesthesia adjuncts, and manage IV access as needed
  • Prepare surgical instruments and supplies in advance of procedures
  • Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and postoperative care
  • Follow all hospital policies and regulatory guidelines related to patient and staff safety
