Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Atlanta, Georgia

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room, adhering to the highest standards of safety and infection control.
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and continuous education of nursing staff in operating room protocols, techniques, and procedures.
• Collaborate in the development and delivery of educational materials and in-service programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the competency and performance of staff, offering feedback and support as needed.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment.
• Stay updated with current best practices and integrate evidence-based guidelines into clinical and educational activities.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in an operating room setting.
• Demonstrated ability to educate, mentor, and lead nursing professionals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current).
• Perioperative nursing certification preferred.
