Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated registered nurse with specialization in the operating room and pediatric care. Utilize your clinical expertise to provide excellent patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year experience in an Operating Room setting
- Demonstrated pediatric nursing experience in a surgical context
- Proficiency with perioperative procedures and standards of care
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing pediatric and adult patients for surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Assisting the surgical team during operative procedures with a focus on optimum patient outcomes
- Monitoring patient status intraoperatively, identifying and addressing any changes promptly
- Coordinating care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records throughout the perioperative process
- Adhering to all hospital infection control and safety protocols
- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding perioperative processes and recovery
