Pediatric Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Atlanta, GA

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year experience in an Operating Room setting
• Demonstrated pediatric nursing experience in a surgical context
• Proficiency with perioperative procedures and standards of care
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices
• Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities Include:

• Preparing pediatric and adult patients for surgical procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
• Assisting the surgical team during operative procedures with a focus on optimum patient outcomes
• Monitoring patient status intraoperatively, identifying and addressing any changes promptly
• Coordinating care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records throughout the perioperative process
• Adhering to all hospital infection control and safety protocols
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding perioperative processes and recovery
