As an RN Clinical Periop Nurse, you’ll play a vital role on an interdisciplinary care team, ensuring high-quality, individualized care for patients and their families in a dynamic clinical environment. Gain hands-on exposure to a wide spectrum of surgical procedures as an OR circulator in a multi-service operative setting, building both your confidence and your resume through new challenges and continued professional development.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift (Weekday Mid shift beginning at 10:45am)
- 3 on-call shifts within a 4-week schedule
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), rooted in evidence-based practice
- Deliver relationship-based, culturally-sensitive, patient-centered care
- Partner with patients, families, and the care team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation
- Promote and participate in performance improvement and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Mentor nursing colleagues and support a healthy work environment
- Uphold all relevant clinical and ethical standards, including regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active RN license (Georgia or compact multi-state)
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- At least 2-3 years of recent experience as an OR circulator in a multi-service operating room
- Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to evidence-based practice, and ability to thrive in fast-paced situations
- Basic computer skills and English proficiency
