Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Aurora, Colorado

This contract position focuses on perioperative nursing within a 16-suite operating department, functioning on the 2nd floor of a state-of-the-art medical center. The facility is known for advanced technology and a dedicated, knowledgeable staff, making it an excellent setting for growth and professional development.

Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Includes night and weekend on-call rotations

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Demonstrated proficiency with transplant procedures (kidney/liver)
• Strong familiarity with EMR systems; Meditech experience preferred
• 3+ years of OR nursing experience highly desirable
• Certification (such as CNOR) preferred
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe and effective intraoperative patient care, adhering to evidence-based practices
• Scrub and circulate on procedures such as spine, total joints, transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, and plastics
• Communicate promptly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow staff to coordinate case flow
• Uphold guidelines and established unit policies to ensure the highest patient safety standards
• Remain available and responsive during scheduled on-call shifts, including nights and weekends
• Accurately document patient progress within the Meditech EMR platform
