Schedule & Hours:
- Guaranteed minimum 36 hours weekly of a possible 40-hour schedule
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR RN
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating room procedures, with strong orthopedic surgery experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, individualized care for patients and their families
- Compliance with 70-mile radius rule
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in an operating room setting
- Assume accountability for patient care, prioritizing safety and comfort throughout perioperative phases
- Maintain direct, supportive communication with patients and their families, addressing questions and concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and ancillary team members to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Participate in surgical site and patient verification, sterile field setup, instrument and equipment management, and patient positioning
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control policies and hospital protocols
- Accurately document patient observations, treatment plans, responses, and interventions
- Adapt rapidly to emergent situations with sound clinical judgment
