Schedule/Hours:
- Facility guarantees 36 hours per week out of 40.
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR RN
- Strong, hands-on experience with orthopedic cases
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Deep commitment to compassionate, individualized patient care
- Effective communicator, able to work collaboratively within the surgical team
- Ability to work within a 70-mile radius rule
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
- Ensure patient safety and advocacy in fast-paced OR environments
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nursing staff
- Monitor patients’ status and respond to changing conditions with swift, decisive action
- Maintain surgical asepsis, support infection control practices, and manage surgical instruments/equipment
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Provide support, education, and comfort to patients and their families throughout the surgical experience
