Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Bessemer, Alabama

Schedule/Hours:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week)
• Daytime/AM schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and support teams to facilitate smooth case flow
• Scrub, circulate, and assist in procedures, with emphasis on Ortho (including totals), General Surgery, and Neuro (Spine cases)
• Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are prepared and accounted for before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and surgical best practices
• Document accurately and efficiently within electronic medical records

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 2 years' recent OR nursing experience
• Strong background in Orthopedic (including total joint procedures), General, and Neurosurgical (spine) cases
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to adapt quickly to new settings, follow detailed protocols, and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities
