Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as an OR RN
- Demonstrated knowledge of operative procedures, aseptic techniques, and perioperative patient care
- Proficient in monitoring patient status before, during, and after surgery
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills in high-pressure scenarios
- Ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field at all times
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients
- Monitor patient safety, vital signs, and overall well-being during operative interventions
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment prior to procedures
- Document all patient care activities and update records accurately
- Adhere to hospital protocols and rigorous infection control standards
- Provide education to patients and families regarding perioperative care
