Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an NLN-accredited program (BSN preferred)
  • Active Alaska RN license in good standing
  • 1–2 years of recent Operating Room experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (PALS preferred)
  • National Surgery/PACU Certification preferred
  • Proficient in AORN standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Direct and coordinate care, ensuring adherence to clinical standards
  • Administer treatments, interpret diagnostic tests, and educate patients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Apply age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care principles
  • Supervise support staff including administrative assistants, schedulers, and CSR techs in conjunction with the Charge Nurse
