OR RN - Binghamton, NY

A skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in the Operating Room is needed for a contract assignment. This role is ideal for professionals capable of providing safe and effective care to surgical patients while collaborating with surgeons and perioperative teams.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3x12 hour evening shifts (36 hours per week)
• 1 to 2 call shifts per week
• Every 3rd or 4th weekend evening

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• 3–5 years of dedicated OR RN experience
• Familiarity with trauma surgery preferred, though not mandatory
• Experience with general surgery, GYN, GU, ENT, orthopedics, and robotic procedures
• Excellent communication and critical-thinking abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical procedures
• Coordinate safety and high standards of patient care with the surgical team
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready and sterile
• Support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical assistants throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Respond effectively to emergent situations and follow appropriate protocols
• Provide compassionate care and guidance for patients before, during, and after procedures
