An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room RN to provide essential support in a surgical department. This role is suited for a nurse with strong OR skills who can excel in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour evening shifts (3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours)
  • Call requirement: 1 to 2 shifts per week
  • One weekend every 3 to 4 weeks, evening coverage

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with current BLS certification
  • 3-5 years of operating room nursing experience required
  • Proficiency in the following specialties: General, GYN, GU, ENT, Orthopedics, and Robotics
  • Trauma surgery experience is an advantage, though not mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with multi-disciplinary surgical teams
  • Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Scrub and circulate for a variety of surgeries, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient condition and respond effectively to emergent situations during procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering education and emotional support
  • Maintain accurate and complete surgical documentation
  • Participate in call rotations as assigned
